Like this a lot Linda, has something about it due to not been completely coloured, and the colours of the branch are excellent.
Lovely nightingale Linda, and like the limited colour. A little late but thought I’d have a go at the building.

Tessa, thats really good,  I think I over thought mine, I used pastels and charcoal, I should have kept it simple, but certainly kept me busy..
No I think that’s very good Lesley. I think mine was a bit heavy handed. It was a fiddly one to do wasn’t it, but glad of the challenge. A year ago I wouldn’t have attempted anything like this but I’m enjoying having a go now.
Definitely not heavy handed Tessa, it looks really good,.  This one was a challenge, so many shaded areas and arches, lining up was my mistake, lol...but my cataracts are now causing me probs, but I not beat yet...
A couple of excellent variations on the arches from Tessa and Lesley - good job girls, I also enjoyed the challenge but it wasn’t easy to sort out all those angles! I did promise to draw the nightingale, I’ll perhaps have a go at that one later.

Lovely to see more beautiful sketches - these buildings are all fab and I really like your delicate nightingale, Linda. A slightly cartoony great crested grebe (l think?)

Not my usual subject matter, but I did promise Dawn that I’d give this Nightingale a go!  And…I actually enjoyed drawing it, tricky to get right though! Ink and gouache on Strathmore tinted charcoal paper.
That nightingale is beautiful, Alan - like the limited pallet.
Really well done Alan, I like the use of tinted paper, works well. Don’t think I have ever seen a nightingale though may have heard one!

Love your Grebe Margaret, lovely and bold. Alan you should do more birds, love your Nightingale and choice of colours, I chose just to leave my bird in pencil and just colour a couple of branches.
I am in awe at some of these lovely sketches! Here are two close-ups of an old wreck at Oare Marshes.
