I am enjoying everyone’s work….clever lot.  Sadly I can’t join in.grrr
I did my own painting using the techniques of my favourite artist Caravaggio. Not very good because I would normally spend a couple of months on such techniques. I did a very quick grisaille, let it dry for a couple of days and put a couple of glazes on it today. I didn't pay too much attention to it but enjoyed the exercise.
I like it Denise. It's very good.
Paul, how "famous" does the artist have to be? I was thinking of attempting something along the lines of a rather quirky semi-abstract contemporary American artist, but I doubt she would fit the definition of "famous", and everyone seems to be doing very well known artists, mainly from the past. I don't think mine (if it actually did get done) would fit.
Sandra there is no level of fame set , if they are known etc that is good enough, I used the word famous as it was the only one I could think of at the time . Do join in it’s always good to see different artists work interpreted in differently ways. The artist I choose isn’t that well known .
Hopefully this pastiche is recognisable.
Perhaps Dufy? But it doesn't matter, Sylvia. I like it on its own terms.
Reminds me of Wheatfield and Cypresses by Van Gogh, but I like your painting whatever
Looks like a Van Gogh sky and colours to me as well.
I will go with Van Gogh , I know Sylvia is quite a fan if I remember correctly.
Clever lot 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
OK, since youhave allowed some lee-way, here is my offering. I paintedover the existing image, hope this is allowed. This is my image of Adele. over I think it is a Botticelli, but could also be a French artist, whose name I don't recall...
