Another 'seasonal' pic.  Just been shopping, sitting thinking what to do and remembered the challenge.
Love it Lew.
Me, too, Lewis, just love this colourful painting - the dog’s expression and the trees (which remind me of Roger Dean’s work).

I do like this a lot as I said on the gallery I would be more than happy to receive this as a Christmas card and it would be one of the few I have kept.
Thank you Sylvia, Jenny and Dixie.  Roger Dean is a favorite artist Jenny, so I'm pleased it reminds you of him.   It's all made up, but I look at lots of illustrators and hope I'm influenced by those I admire...or what's the point of looking at them?  Many like to draw big fat trees...Charles Vess is one, there are many others.  In this pic the main difference for me was that the tree was done dark to light, because I used gouache mostly...something I've not been able to do since my brief flirtation with oils and acrylic.
Some excellent paintings posted already and still time for more . I posted this in the gallery a couple of days ago set in the Yorkshire Dales bring the sheep in after snow .
Some great paintings posted. An old one of mine but I'm hoping to get a bit of painting done sometime over the weekend with a bit of luck.
It’s a superb painting Denise , hope you manage to get your paints out I’m looking forward to seeing your work again .
Fire and Ice - Whatmore Pond in Winter was one of my local Lockdown Challenge paintings in January 2021 on the theme of Winter Wonderland.  It was inspired by a photo I took on one of my winter lockdown walks from home to Nash Church in South Shropshire on a very cold day when the duckpond at Whatmore was frozen solid.  I was looking for colour in a very dull winter landscape, and the rosehips and winter berries caught my eye.  Its acrylic on canvas board, with lots of knife painting.

A quick winter scene I've just done after finding all my painting gear.
All good - I fear I've comed down with a winter infection which seems to be running riot down here, so I shall contect myself with being cheered up by your postings, but I rather doubt I'll offer one of my own: all my inventiveness seems to have deserted me for the moment: plus, I'm running out of tissues......
So sorry Robert hope you feel better soon.
