A hard subject todo Hilary, mine always turn out like sausages. A change of pace for now. Here are a couple Hiding under an umbrella from the snow

I am so impressed with all the sketches so far , there are so many I can’t mention them individually for fear of missing someone out! I have had a shaky Parkinson’s day today but have done a quick picture using pencil and Inktense pencils and water brush. It’s a mug of hot chocolate and cream  given to me by my daughter. Yum!
Snow in March, Alan? Ok here north of Peterborough! Love the mug of hot chocolate Gillian.
So many beautiful sketches, the Koi and the hands Hilary, very good, I need to get back to hands. The dogs and horses and the great drawing from Lewis and so many more over the past few days. My sketch today is of an under painting. I'm going to try glazing. I know I don't have enough experience but I've been reading a bit about it and want to try it. It's only small, so if I make a mess of it and go wrong, which I probably will, I'll just toss it in the bin.
Some fascinating sketches over the last couple of days. I haven’t done much lately because I had to take the Christmas decorations down and my wife has sprung into action with some early spring cleaning, but tonight I got the fountain pen out and did a very quick sketch of a girl reading a map. This is from a small corner of a photo I took in Barcelona year before last.
Another 10 minute sketch from a photo. I found this in a tiny corner of a photo I took in Barcelona. A girl contorting to take a photo of the La Sagrada Familia.

Lovely selection, and really wide range, of sketches.   Just looking at this page, really nice to see Alan and Paul's figure sketches; that mug of cocoa looks very inviting Gillian, and that looks like a good start Denise.   This is my 2nd attempt this evening - painted on the other side of the unsuccessful first one - very small (on 7" x 5" paper - but sketch only about 7" x 3".  Watercolour sketch loosely based on one of my photos of RSPB Mersehead.
Great to see all the sketches in various mediums.  It'll be interesting to see how Denise progresses with her glazing.  I'm still not doing much, but you can always fit in a sketch.  Another fantasy pic, I'd like to do a larger picture but haven't settled on what...sometimes doodling will spark things off.  Must try to do something today.  Here's a doodle I did yesterday.
Wow, there are so many sketches already and the variety of subject is fantastic.  At long last I’ve been forced to pick up a charcoal stick and get something done. I’m on my Portraiture course this week so thought I could post the odd sketch from each of the three days at least. It’s so nice to have a sitter for the whole day. Getting to do some pointillism and wrong hand work too.
A great sketch, Ron.
Love the sketch Ron, funnily enough I’m just having a read on pointillism, its fascinating and the effect you can achieve look really interesting.
Nice portrait Ron, something I need to get back to, my under painting is still wet Lewis so it might be a day or so before I get the first glaze on. I am excited to see how it will turn out, that's if it turns out at all.
