It’s there on yesterdays page Gill, nothing wrong with posting it again. Far to hot once again for watercolours, so I did a quick pen sketch using predominantly brush pens , added a bit of yellow watercolour and covered it with indigo watercolour pain . Messing about with the iPad editor , the first is the original sketch the second the contrast altered the third is just darkened . I did rub a white conti pencil around the dark areas to try and great a slight mist effect.

Yes you did Gillian, it’s there somewhere! I remember seeing it and being impressed by the height of the bridge.
Here’s a sketch from some photos at Chastleton House when our art group spend a day there in June. The painting I did on the day ended up in the bin, so I thought I would draw from my photos on the day. I’d like to tackle more buildings as I think I have largely probably avoided them.

Very true Dixie. Chastleton has been running a day in the gardens for a limited number of artists and photographers once a month throughout the summer. Not sure if other NT places are doing this but worth looking out for. I’ve only been able to do the one but definitely would like to do more if I can. £7 entry with free tea and coffee etc.

Your painting has a lovely atmosphere, Dixie.
I do like the perspective of your post, Tessa, and the light delicate wash, very nice.
Like the images of your allotment, George. Many of these places of pleasure, might, be a thing of the past. They are now seen by a certain member of government as a wasted resource, and would be better used for building houses on. During covid the population was greatly encouraged to take up an allotment for health and well-being, now, who knows.

An oldie, sketches on my allotment ( a long time ago )
