Pen and Ink washed in places with water.
Loving your pen and ink sketches George! I have finished my pen and wash soviet should pick up my sketch pad and actually do a sketch!

Your sketch has come on leaps and bounds, Gillian. The shadow area behind the arch give the work a subtle expanse. Like your work, George, it portrays an area of a landscape populated by a tangled undergrowth. I find this, not an easy subject to capture. Your little characters are a delight, Lewis. Even though they seem devilish, the heart atop their staff says something quite sweet.
That’s lovely Gillian. The archways are intriguing. This is a sketch of some apples on the tree in our garden. It’s loaded this year but often the apples drop before they are really ready, or get pecked off by jackdaws!
Deliciously good, Tessa. I have a quince bush. I'm going to make time today to get something arty onto paper.

Hope they ripen this year Tessa , nice sketch to remind you of the bumper crop .  Pen sketch from me , fine liners and a white gel  pen , about ten minutes. Photo appears a bit lighter than it actually is. Replaced the photo with a better image.

It’s great to see the apples still on the trees Tessa! Using the coloured paper was a good choice for your subject. Well done!!
Thanks both. Your coloured paper and white gel pen works well Dixie. My apples were actually on white paper, but photographed in the kitchen last evening so appears tinted!
Thank you Tessa , I decided to use the coloured paper following a discussion with Alan , he often uses tinted paper to great effect .  Some sketches that do t make it into a full painting or normally get seen , just my playing around and experimenting, rough doodles etc .
Dramatic images, Dixie. The dangly bits on the first painting are visually pleasing, the tinkling of them is almost heard. I like the atmosphere of the third and sixth painting.
Very good sketches paul..
