Superb!  It takes patience to do this, but it certainly pays off.
Love the leaves! Here is something I started today
Thankyou, Robert and Gillian, I find it a very rewarding process. A good start to the day, Gillian, I'll be trying something later on, most probably from a photo, again.
Lovely tonal values which give depth and distance to your sketch.
Here’s a sketch of Broadway Tower not far from where I live, from a photo taken on a visit about a month ago. My tower is a bit wonky- definitely not as stable as the real thing! A lesson in drawing needed. I can see where it’s gone wrong so may have another go.

That's lovely, Tessa. Within art perfection is not required it's the inspiration a subject inspires, that said, you've done a good job.
Thank you Carol- I like that thought! 🤣
Still playing with this ink drawing of Nortland castle Westray
Well done everybody, some good pen and ink work under way.
That’s coming along well Gillian, I like the old stonework.
Looking for a character.  I'll be doing this on decent paper, so I don't want to be scribbling and rubbing out too many ideas on that...so I use my cheap scribble sketchbook.  As we all do, no doubt.  They don't have to be too detailed, just give me the idea.  I'll be going for something like the one on the left.  He won't have four legs...that was me changing my idea for the pose.
