Lewis, yes, is the Kelpies - they’re such beautiful sculptures.  I did the sketch a week or two ago when we were going to carry on with the daily sketch challenge - the first subject would have been ‘landmark’, but as we’ve gone back to the usual daily challenge (which gets far more response and allows everyone to share a much wider variety of work) I thought I’d post them here.  Didn’t get round to adding any detail, but they would make a great subject for an ink drawing.

I haven’t seen the Kelpies in the flesh so to speak but they are a great subject! Here is a quick sketch of a cat
I like that Gillian, he looks like a cat not to be messed with.😆
He looks like a cat with an attitude Gillian.  Like it. I've started a large picture, and have been working on ideas for the characters.  As I've been talking about biro drawings on my Pen and Ink thread, I thought I'd do this quickie with a biro... ...it's alright for this kind of sketch, but I don't think I'll be shifting from pen to biro.
I have pens  that I seldom use and having looked at Lew’s thread about pen I decided to use them to sketch out and idea for a painting , don’t think it will win any prizes. I find pen difficult as I can’t blend as I would with pencil etc but I will persevere and try a few more.

That’s got impact! Great sketch Paul…
Lew your biro sketch is pretty good but I agree with you about not using them for your actual pictures. Paul I do like you pen and ink sketch it certainly has impact as Alan said! It’s VERY windy here in Orkney with showers of torrential rain! Ferries cancelled. Better come up with something that befits the day! See you all later!
Thank you Alan, I was actually thinking of throwing it in the bin but decided to post it ,  think we should show work we aren’t always sure about. My thoughts are we get good advice, people see that not every sketch is a good one , and of course the  feedback is good for the ego . Thank you Gill we were posting at the same time , keep safe and well.

Well done Paul, your pen drawings are good, especially that tree.  Most people use washes etc to supplement the pen work.  Stay with, you’re a natural.
