Sort of a sketch, started today. Can’t decide whether to paint it in a different style or revert to my usual. It’s a view through an archway in our village.

Two sketches from me , white charcoal on black paper, second is on grey toned paper a sailing barge caught in a snow storm.
Two excellent sketches Paul.
Some great sketches as always. It’s also nice to see some of you have been trying to try out styles you wouldn’t otherwise have tried. At long last here is something from me
Nice sketch Gill and good to see your posting it . Three sketches last night just messing around, the tree  one was inspired by tell my granddaughter about a tree in the woodlands that always looked like it had captured the moon as it was rising up. The second are just simply messing around the ghost one I noticed something similar painted on a wall a few months ago.
I'm not sure what's going on with this forum. I did enjoy the Challenges. Maybe that could be started again.  In the meantime, this morning I was getting a bite at a little cafe near my house, and I happened to have a sketchpad with me. Across the way, was this interesting face...
This is the sketch a day thread Skylar  the challenge thread is at rest as few people were talking part , but could be reinstated if and when people want the challenges.
Well - I very rarely responded to the challenges; and I've posted very little over the last 6 months, mainly due to a battle with depression (back on the stabilizing pills).  I have kept working, but inredibly slowly.  So a challenge or two might get me moving again -  I am working on an acrylic on ACF canvas, and as soon as that's done, I now have lead white oil paint in quantity, so have a plan of campaign.   Leaving my issues to one side - they come, they go - a challenge or two might be productive.
Robert I will definitely set up a challenge for this month , I have missed setting them up and not only taking part but enjoying what is produced by others . Always interesting to see how the challenge is interpreted by different people.
Well done.  Looking forward to it.
Paul, could I please suggest that we have separate threads for each month's challenge. The way they have been set up for the last few months makes it impossible to tell where one month ends the next one begins. Go right back to screen one and the heading is November, unless you check in each day there is no way of knowing which month is which. A separate thread for each month - please! And why are some images not showing up? Just a little icon which I finally worked out I have to download? What is happening, is it the way they are uploaded or something to do with my computer? It doesn't apply to all images so I suspect something weird is happening at your end.
Sandra I think you are getting mixed up with two separate threads , the Monthly Challenge is the one that I organise and that is run as a separate thread each month , we have had time out and are restarting this month. This thread is organised by Gillian Cooke and is the  Sketch a Day challenge, it originally ran as a constant thread then changed to monthly and early this year became a constant thread again.  Gill change the month on top of the thread as the month changes, so she removed October and added November this month. There is no was of separating each month , it’s a case of trawling back to see what you have missed I’m afraid. If it comes up at the very beginning when youopen the thread you can go to the latest posting by clicking on >> at the top of the page , hope this is helpful.
