Peter you do like living on the edge ,your taking a big risk there Sylvia can give a nasty bite , but it looks like you caught her after her first morning brew.
It's all about timing Paul!
It wasn't Bloodaxe - he was a highly irascible gentleman, and a good artist - sadly no longer with us.  No, I know who it was - she had just mis-read the Gallery and thought she was posting in different categories; she was very upset about it when she found out that she was swamping the gallery, which is one reason why I tend to be rather gentle in dealing with those who might seem to be exploiting it.  However, patience is getting thin in one case.....
I've just followed Sylvia's link to the Windows forum and the art section.....for a start it seems an odd place to post art but I was curious to have a look.  This person calling themselves 'Whoosh' has posted nineteen digital pictures since Monday - that's an average of over four per day, every day. Whether it is the same person that posts on here I don't know but many of the images are identical. This person seems to post far more on the Windows art section than anyone else. It says they are from England and the last two were posted at 3.21am and 4.42am, though that may just be because the site is on US time. It's odd - it's clearly not art but they obviously feel a need to share it whether it's the same person or not.
I thought I'd take things a bit further - I found a website called 'goart.fotor.com' which has a three day free trial before you pay anything.  Last week I painted and posted this picture of Empress Josephine...it took me around four hours.  I used the same photo I'd copied and downloaded it into the website. Within two minutes I'd 'created' these: I could have gone on all day. The creative input from me was zero, as was the level of satisfaction. I then deleted the website before I got charged for using this crap. It's not art, it's rubbish. A monkey could produce it. I feel a little bit unclean but at least I now know how it's done and that it has no place on here. As for the people who 'like' this stuff and post positive comments, words fail me.

I agree. It's not art, because there is no inspiration, no skill and no personal style developed. It's all done by algorithms.
Sorry if I'm butting in here too, but I've also had these weird images as a thorn in my side for a while and I noticed that if you look closely at the URL of said user here, you can see the word "Whoosh" - and that's identical to the username Whoosh from the Windows forum. This is not a coincidence: "https://www.painters-online.co.uk/artists/wkawhoosh/". I have no right to complain because I am a newbie. But it is even I noticed these pictures, really. Since I myself was also active in the digital scene for a long time (education long time ago...) these pictures immediately caught my eye, as a fake....I can not call it otherwise sorry. I simply wonder what kind of joy this is, to chase a photo through the digital press, to publish the effort, to call it "own art", and to lick the comments like honey - what form of joy might that be? I will never understand :) ah, and look that monkey, he is creative: https://youtu.be/QsTx6E2__Fc

I agree Peter, I can't see what satisfaction anyone would get from it. Mind-boggling.
Gala as a member of the forum and gallery you have every right to complain and make it know that you are not happy with it. What is also interesting is that you have experience in digital work and can spot with a practiced eye what is not right where for me it’s intuition and guess work both you and others have confirmed what I have suspected from day one . Unfortunately the man did lie about a manipulated photo when challenged and said it was a painting, to then change his mind when further challenged. If he can be so dishonest openly then there is little chance he will stop doing what he does as he clearly sees nothing wrong in his actions
Don't want to prolong this forever, but: it may be that "Whoosh" is the originator of the image, not just a copyist; and that he is the person posting here.  IF that's the case, all he's doing is posting his own work in different places - but I think the time has come to ask him if these pictures are genuinely his own work, amended digitally from his original drawings or paintings, and proceed from there.  I've asked Dawn to look into it, though appreciate the difficulties.   My concern in all this is that I know we've lost two artists from this site already, and one or two others are considering leaving, because of what they believe to be just doctored photographs.  I've nothing against genuine digital paintings - we've had several exponents of that art here for a good many years - but just plonking someone else's photo through a digital art programme isn't painting, and this site is called Painters Online, after all. I echo what Paul said in reply to Gala - you've every right to make the points you have, and it's helpful to know it's not just a bunch of us old regulars being reactionary.
If I remember correctly Robert when this person first joined the site he stated that he had only just started drawing a matter of a couple of months ago. ,apparently abandoned that and found how to manipulate.  So no the original art work is not his . Unless that was false.  The statement has been remove as far as I can see.  Also I know very few artists with that broad spectrum of working method...eg different types of paintings.
I was about to say the same thing Sylvia, that’s exactly what he said when he was first asked about his images… Whether he’s Whoosh or not, anyone can see that these are manipulated images. I’d like to see a work in progress from him, I doubt that is going to happen!
