Pen & Ink with Graphite shading. 45 minutes - try to keep to a time limit for good practice as I do tend to "overcook" !!!!!! From a photograph of mine.
Looks like I've missed a lot of great sketches and comments!!! sorry about the duck with a big but Fiona, but its definitely different!! lighthouse, (great to hear you've sold one Alan, I've just sold a badger painting ) café people, workmen, holiday's, (enjoy yours Marjorie,) nice sketch Christopher, Richard great mountain sketch again I know I've missed some so apologies to everyone else. Todays sketch, Shetland Ponies, graphite pencils. 2B, 8B
The one problem with working all day, When you come to look at all the Wonderfull art everyone creates is that there is so much of it, to be able to mention it all. Here goes, this morning we had a great manga style sketch, followed by Anjana with her murmuration,. Great use of light and shade,Tessa great sketching of the work men, then later a great painting of them, Margaret nice tap, Marjorie with her holiday pics, Richard with his Valley, ending with Linda and her Shetland ponies.  The painting I sold was the ouse wash sketch, well chuffed at that. Here is my sketch for today, it is of some colourful tulips, ( colour still to be applied)
Thanks for the holiday good wishes, sun's out at last but it's just great to get away! Like your high peaks Richard, they look majestic. Linda's Shetland ponies are super, well placed, the one behind the other and the coat is excellently done. Those tulips look a bit Rennie Mackintosh, Alan, look forward to seeing the colours. I reckon that could be counted as a day's work.
Really like your mountains Richard.  Beautifully drawn ponies Linda, and these tulips are very nicely drawn  Alan - look forward to see them in colour.
Marjorie living it up, tulips , great Shetland poneys,a excellent sketch from Richard and all on this page only. Great work on all the pages. Mine is a small sketch inspired by seeing some voles today , but drew a mouse. The eyes I was told were not dark enough by my granddaughter who kindly corrected them for me, being 8 she know more than I do about it.
Of course your grand daughter is right Paul ( they always are!). Very cute.
Very cute mouse Dixie.
beautiful sketches everyone here's mine for today not up to everyone elsese standard but a quick sketch looking of Cleethorpes beach from a photo I took last year.

Fantastic work uploaded by everyone as always, we are certainly not struggling for subjects are we? From tap to exotic palm trees, workmen to shetland pony, mountain to seaside, tulips to mouse(so cute with the eyes corrected!) - all great sketches. Hope I haven't missed anyone out. Glad the sun came out for you Marjorie, looks lush - enjoy. Thank you all for your comment on the murmuration sketch, I don't quite know why I started to sketch that way with vertical lines, would like to say I planned it, but it was more luck than design! Today's is a sketch of fuchsias from my own photo, couldn't resist putting a little colour on :-)
