Looks like it’s flowers all around, inspired by the miniature irises coming up in the pots outside. I love the colours and texture of iris they can have such complex patterns. Some great sketching going on everyday from everyone. Decided to do this justice by using watercolour.
Ha ha thanks Marjorie always a last minute person me! Paul beautiful painting, they are so beautiful we bought one many moons ago but didn't survive past that season.
Lovely strong drawing Anjana and Paul, love the delicate watercolour irises. A lot to do today so here is a very quick, rather small (and slightly off!) sketch of the last of the cooking apples of our tree before they get pureed and frozen!

Lovely flower paintings from Christopher, Paul and Anjana, love your old iron Marjorie and the apples look good Margaret, not sure if I can manage one today, depends if I get visitors!!
Christopher, Anjana, Paul.....all your flowers captured so well. The ruffled texture of the Camelia, the floppy habit of Tulips and that graceful Iris with its papery petals. Love your bowl of apples Margaret, I like the sketchiness of it. I’m looking for my next victim......hope to photograph it before it gets dark!

Some lovely fruit and flowers so far today. Iris and camellia flowering so early!  I thought I’d have another bash at my old gate, in ink and gouache this time.
Tessa, that graphic treatment of your old gate has worked so well.
Page 38 well done to all who have contributed so far. Love this POP art style gate Tessa. Great bowl of cooking apples Margaret, and I love your Irises to Paul. Here is mine for today,  Its of a converted minors lamp for use in WW2 by the ARP for highlighting bomb craters and hazards.
Tessa love the treatment of your gate, very striking. Alan you’ve got the look of brass on your lamp, like it My sketch for today is a pewter finger plate, it depicts creatures of the night, if I have the patience I’ll do the other one, which depicts the day. I haven’t managed to get the impression of depth to the figures and everything else that isn’t the background, as it’s raised from the backplate.

Paul, your watercolour iris is lovely with all the detailed veins on the petals. Margaret, just the right amount of detail and colour on your apples, very stylish! Tessa, what a good idea, different, for your gate. Great choice, Alan, that lamp. Amazing how everyone is coming up with something different. Fiona, that's a lovely fingerplate - never thought of that! Impossible I would think to get it more 3 D, so much detail. Lovely sketch.
Such a different aspect on your gate Tessa, I like your miners lamp Alan, your colouring is spot on. Fiona that's beautiful I love Art Nouveau. A quiet day today no visitors so here's my contribution. Siamese fighting fish, 6B graphite, white gel pen, Blending stump.
