Wow you have been busy today, great sketches/paintings everyone, I intended sketching this afternoon then I got visitors (didn't mind lovely to see) then had to get tea on so that's my day gone again, might try and post something later from the sketchbook again, well done all halfway there !!!
Fantastic everyone. To many to mention by name, but a great variety of subjects.   been a long day, just back from the gym and physio, so here is my effort for today. Its just a pen sketch I did at tea break today
More lovely sketches, Richard, Marjorie and Alan - and a lovely variety of subjects and styles.
A sketch from summer which ended up as a painting, the roses were from the garden.
That’s gorgeous Linda. I can’t keep up with all these brilliant sketches, what an industrious lot you are. Well done everyone! I’m going to visit this thread more often so I can comment on all the sketches separately, they certainly deserve it.

I received two generous gifts by post today, one of Sylvia’s innovative sketchbooks and a set of oil bars from Marjorie. My sincere thanks to you both for your generosity. For my sketch today, which I’ve just managed to get done, is a quick made up landscape using Marjorie’s oil bars on Sylvia’s paper.
Beautiful drawing, Linda.    Lovely vibrant image, Fiona - you have made great use of your presents!
Wow Fiona that’s superb, I especially like the area of ochre in the front right. I’m saving my Sylvia sketch book to try to do something coordinated with it so still thinking about that. Lovely drawing and roses Linda, should make a super painting. Alan I really like your lift drawing. There’s a similar one joining Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon which we visited last year. Very clever mechanism! Page 29? Flippin Eck.
Fiona!!! That is really nice! You look as though you have a lot of textured effect there - scraping/scratching I see, maybe thinners....a learning process with the oilbars. Alan - good one! Linda, so different!

Posting tomorrow’s today a in out early and not back till late. Finished this about 10 minutes ago, and decided not to wait until morning. Back in the comfort zone.
It's very good though, Paul. Going back into the comfort zone is necessary, we need to relax and enjoy too, then we can push ourselves again. After my "studio" painting, which was not relaxing I can tell you, I am going to paint the kind of still life I love, just simple, maybe a collection of whites. Already looking forward to it.
I have a long way to go with them Marjorie, but I’m sure it will be fun! That’s  a good one Paul, your comfort zone would be my nightmare.
