I'm a fan of Hockney, but a few leave me lukewarm. First a portrait of a business-man in the National Portrait Gallery. I was surprised to find it was by Hockney. A typical boardroom portrait of a no doubt worthy man. I find these a bit dry and uninteresting. Perhaps Hockney was demonstrating he could do these...

He did a huge series of portraits a while back, apparently painting each one in a day. Brilliant...
