I've just noticed the Max Wall paintings. I'm totally knocked out by them. I think they are stunning. I'm going to look them up later today and take a close look at the artists work.

Tamara De Lempicka, great.  I've a liking for the Art Deco era.  The sleek style of the cars, planes, trains, buildings, fashion, and, of course, the art.  The painting below is my favorite of Tamara's paintings.  In fact, it's one of my favorites of ALL paintings in any style and from any era.  A few years back I made a copy of it.  It's hanging on my wall. I love the style, including what I think of as 'wood shavings' hair. Here's another.  Mr Tadeusz de Lempicka, her husband.  Apparently they broke up while she was painting this, and gives that as the reason for not finishing his left hand. One more...
Superb LEW. Wood shavings hair, just right. I’m loving the lying girl
Egle Ellen is the second. Claire Cristi the first

There are some fabulous portraits shown in this thread - wish I could do that!  I try now and then, but I'd have to try a lot harder and more often even to approximate to the Hein portrait, and several of the others, particularly in the latter part of the thread those chosen by Martin Shaw.  Loved Rodrigo Costa's piece, too - and how good to see him posting again.
