Similar problem here! I can search for other artists names and their whole gallery comes up. Something that was very hit and miss on the previous site. When I enter my name loads of other artists work appears with just a small handful of my work interspersed. I don’t suppose it particularly matters as I am unlikely to be searching for myself!
Alan Bickley on 26/09/2019 18:49:34 I think they have put a work-around in place for this one. If you type Alan Bickley in the gallery search it doesn't bring up your work Alan but it does bring up this message which if you click that will take you to your work. Not sure if this is just until the search facility gets settled in or not.
Yes, still a lot of oddities happening.  There's another link to this thread that says the last response was about 30 minutes ago, but the post was actually made days ago.   Must have got stuck.  I like the fact that we now get the number of views on each post.  We didn't have that before, apart from the number of views on our top five images.  Maybe that too, will be reinstated eventually.  I suppose these 'view' numbers aren't essential, but it's encouraging to know that your work is getting looked at.
Thanks Dawn, yes indeed it does. That’s on my laptop, not on my iPhone which is possibly understandable due to space. Thanks for that! appreciated.
The search thing ebbs and flows at the moment, with categories and names.  I suspect backroom tinkering ...
Have been away from here for some time and only today had the opportunity to upgrade my account. However, I'm still not understanding what all this paid-for Studio membership is about; Studio and Studio+.  What does it cost? I see no links anywhere to costs. I can see some info about accessing archives, new newsletter, videos, etc but nothing about paid-for memberships. While it is nice to be able to offer one's work for sale through this route, I do wonder whether it is "coals to Newcastle".....how many members of the ordinary non-artistic public are going to come here looking for art to buy? Yes artists do buy other artists' work, but surely one needs a bigger audience than this?
Hi Christine The Studio membership is a new service launched to offer you archive magazine content, exclusive videos and studio wall feature. All of the information on what it is can be found here: https://www.painters-online.co.uk/membership/ https://www.painters-online.co.uk/how-does-studio-work You can sign up for a free trial to try the services out for a month.  PaintersOnline does attract a huge volume of non-artists and artists alike so we feel this new feature will add a lot of value to our website users.   Hope this helps? Thanks Nicola
I’m pleased to see the return of the total count on my art page. Thanks  Alan
Yes but! I notice on my gallery posts I have 8 likes , not great for about three years. Going back into my previous posts they have all been rewound to zero. View figures are ok but likes definitely not. Just to check if I was being neurotic I searched for Alan Bickley who should have more likes than most, and his also show all zeros, so it’s not just me! Please PO team, can you set the record right on this? Also I don’t think the record of posts on the gallery is correct, but not so concerned about that. Thank you. Tessa
Oh yes Tessa, I thought it was just my likes that was wrong. I have only 5 in total, seems a little odd after three years, to me too, I agree please POL can you somehow put this right...  I'm still finding my way around, everything is getting easier,  but I still get a little lost in the forum for some reason..
Oh yes Tessa, never spotted that anomaly. I’ve got 552,815 views and 4 likes. Interesting! I’m sure it’s something that can be put right.
I’m sure you’re right Alan, still WIP! I see the number of posts on the forum also sticks a bit. Maybe I need to get painting and get a life-fortunately class resumes tomorrow!
It’s not just the views and likes  it’s also the “post” count.  People who have only posted a few posts are classified as higher status than people who have posted far more .  Sounds petty... but I like my status.  I think Robert and I are the golden oldies on here in fact I actually push him into second place...sorry Robert.  He actually became a member some time after me.  Nah,na.  Over the years we have seen some lovely people come and go. Oh and some of the other sort. Lol.
