Good work Dixie and Gillian. This is something I passed on the river bank near my daughters place past week, not really sure what it is, possibly a sort of sluice gate which can be raised up? Does anyone want to keep going through June!? Or are we calling it a day? I don’t mind either way. If we don’t, then thanks to all who’ve taken part, however frequently. It’s been great fun and I think has helped through the first months of lockdown. It seems a long time since Margaret started this on January 1st, and we were in a different world then. Thanks all. X
A fascinating truck, Dixie, with that unusual cab and really like your boats - lovely delicate drawing and painting.  Glad you stuck with it Gillian and that you have enjoyed it - I have definitely found daily sketching has helped my confidence hugely, though I have not posted them all, and some have definitely not worked!  Whatever it is, you have drawn it beautifully Tessa.    I can't believe the daily sketch has lasted so long!  I think I have drawn or painted every day this year (it is possible I've missed a couple but don't think so) though I've not posted every day (some have been dreadful others days I've just been trying not to spend too much time on the laptop!).  The company has been great - and it is lovely that after I kick started it, other people have kept it going.   Not sure about June - if somebody starts it up I may join occasionally but I'm mostly busy with other stuff at the moment.  Thanks for all your encouragement, I've enjoyed seeing all the great sketches, and I think we have all got better!   Stay safe :)

I agree thanks to everyone who has participated in any way , I have particularly appreciated the banter that has developed, and like Tessa and Margaret will still input if someone wants to kick it off , but probably not everyday. Thanks for the fun and learning.
my last effort for May - Noel Fielding from the Sky Arts Portrait Painter of the week today - fairly quick - watercolour pencil - A2 cartridge.
That’s a fine portrait to finish on  Margaret .
Love the portrait of Noel Fielding Margaret. I did watch some of the session and have taken some screen shots to have a bash! I would certainly join in again if someone sets it up. I have loved being involved and found you all inspiring and feel I am getting my mojo back at last.
Thank you Dixie and Gillian.   Glad you are getting your mojo back Gillian.   It can be really difficult - I had a long spell (almost 10 years) when I did very little drawing or painting because of work plus long-distance family concerns etc I just couldn't get my head in the right place to paint - even when I did actually have time.   However, I gradually got back into it a few years ago and am enjoying it more than I ever did.   So hope you continue to enjoy sketching. Tessa has now set up a June sketching thread so hope you all your work there :)
