Gosh, I thought the sketch a day had died a death, I haven’t been contributing I know, just discovered I had unsubscribed myself🤔back at art group today so hopefully inspiration will follow. Completely agree about turning pictures upside down Marjorie, I use that trick for my animal portraits. It’s surprising what it can show up!
Today's walk 5.5 ml round Tatton parkland and lakes with a coffee stop in Knutsford and lunch on a park bench, so nice to be out in the sun.
Had a mad few moments a couple of days ago .  Looking at the incredible paintings in the iconic city competition I thought I would do one of my own.  I am an adopted Scouse so decided on , In my Liverpool Home .  It certainly won’t win any prizes but I did enjoy doing it , it’s Brusho ink on a piece of scrap mount board  purloined from the guy who frames for me.  Liverpool probably has more icons than almost any city on earth .  So here is my lonely Liver bird.   Oh and one of our splendid Cathedrals in the back ground....no it isn’t a “ blob” .
Nice one Sylvia reminded me of one I did a few years ago a jumble of Liverpool waterfront.
I like it Sylvia, but In football terms, as an adopted scouser, should it not be in red, not a toffee blue.

here is a little doodle I have been doing. some summer flowers from last year.
They are a delight.  A bit more than a doodle though .
Pen and wash sketch preparation for my next painting. Criticism on composition balance etc welcomed...subject Whitstable from my own photo.
I’m sure you have ideas to add, Bari, but here’s a couple of thoughts. There’s no boat reflection which leaves rather a lot of space at the bottom part of the pic. Also, why not add some directional watermarks to lead the eye towards the boat.
Yes Marjorie there are a few bits of detail missing it's the overall picture I felt was missing something and you have put your finger right on it with that water mark there was no lead in ..👍
Well I’ve been pretty pathetic at anything arty in the last month or so but did find myself with pencil in hand this afternoon in the garden doodling away! Bank holiday traffic round here too awful to venture out. PS Alan I do like those fuchsias!
