Well, another day of huge variety and the challenge of different ideas. We are seeing such possibilities in the unusual and not so unusual! I especially like those chatting potatoes!
Margaret, my daughter is still in hospital unfortunately. She is much better in herself but her blood results have been all over the place and they’re not willing to let her home yet. She has a cyst on her neck, which would be best removed but she is pregnant so difficult to treat and risky to operate on. She has friends visiting over the weekend, so I’m heading home tomorrow at least for a few days, and will see what they decide on Monday. Obviously I can come back if needed.
Many thanks to all of you who’ve been so kind with your words. You’re a lovely lot and it’s much appreciated.

Tessa I understand how you must be feeling, many years ago my daughter had a cyst on her neck. I was a frightening time until we knew what was going on. After surgery and treatment she recover. I’m sure thing will soon be sorted, my thoughts are with you, as is my best wishes for her quick recovery. You need to look after you as well.

Best wishes for your daughter Tessa. Fabulous set of sketches everyone so varied in subjects and methods including one done in sand 😊. Great to see your brief Christopher and your colourful work from it. Was too tired to upload yesterday, I sketched some birds yesterday at the nature reserve, I don't know how you all sketch moving subjects with such ease.

Sorry to hear Tessa that your daughter is still in hospital and why - a worrying time for you all - sounds like she is getting well looked after. Hoping everything goes well.
Super detailed sketch Dixie - beautifully drawn. Lovely sketches, Anjana - I'm jealous of your whooper swans (and geese)! My local suburban reserve only has Mute swans (though of course they are lovely too!) and no geese at present. I've found sketching birds tricky too - they look as if they are not moving much till you start drawing them and find that they are actually constantly moving!

A couple of hours to spare.... . So here’s a pic of our new doggo... he arrived from the rescue centre just four weeks ago,. He is a stray so no history. Also more pup than the two years we were told. The house looks as if a regiment of toddlers have been let loose .
He’s a cross between a Chihuahua and a Jack Russell..
Samson or Sam for short. Coloured pencil on mount board .

Hope all goes well for your daughter Tessa.
More goodies today from everyone. I shall lower the tone with 'Nanook of the North'. Bit tired after digging my new tattie plot today and I am not too good on portraits. Charcoal pencils, and that terrible mouth should actually be a smile. I may never survive after this is seen lol.
