I will look forward to spotting them! I have a subscription but I live in Spain so don’t get it for about two weeks after publication!  No sketch yet but hopefully will post something later! Love your elephant Alan
Sorry Tessa, I was in a hurry.
A change today have not done any boats for a while, I am working on a painting of  fishing boat, so to get in the mood I’ve done some small sketches, here is one.

I love watching and listening to the birds so here’s an attempt at a song thrush, think I may have made him a bit plump!
Oh I don’t know I have seen some fat song thrushes , looks fine to me.
Cheers Dixie!
Not sketch so far today , started a painting this morning stopped for lunch , went back took it of off the board and ripped it in two.  It was not even worth Saving,  it was a watercolour I had wanted too do, but could not get it right. So had a cuppa and started this one, the other was of an elephant, not much different.
I sometimes tear up a painting that’s not going well Dixie! I’m sure we’ve all done it, but this one looks like it’s going well. The angle of the plane all looks good so far. I’m continuing with my attempts at loose watercolour sketches and these are two young Reed warblers from a photo in a book of British wild birds. I will probably do more to it, but that may wreck it!
Thanks Tessa, your loose paintings  are getting better, something I  did a lot when I first started painting then seem to he got out of doing them  It not the first time I’ve torn up a painting, it one I’ve wanted to do for quite some time, Sod’s law it don’t work., still will try again at some stage.
A second attempt often goes better Dixie, so definitely worth a go, as you’ll know where you felt you went wrong the first time.
The birds look good to me Tessa!  whenever I try birds they are always obese! Frustrating day for you Dixie! However the plane looking good! Just done a quick sketch of a thistle that  I took a photo of this morning in the campo!  No sketching with my dog as she gets too impatient to let me!
Gillian, nice bold thistle And I know what you mean about the dog! I’m sitting in my garden this morning painting some pots and flowers, trying not to have ‘drawing marks’!
