Oh what a pigs ear I have made of this post...so sorry.
So glad you have reposted your daffodils Sylvia they are lovely as for the pencils I do like them they are vibrant but you can also tone them down too. I can them being good to pop in my bag with a sketchbook to sketch en plein air. I know you like using them Sylvia!

Mint and Rosemary drawing at dawn ...I woke early so did this small image and noticed long shadows.  Lovely daffodils and bright yellow that gleam Sylvia. Nice purple flowers too and sketches , terrific response to the January challenge, fabulous!
Well done getting some portrait practice in! I always enjoy your loose sketches Teresa and Sylvia where are these dads?! Here’s my offering of cherry blossom using inktense pencils

Overly cherry blossom Gillian, they look delicate and nice arrangement too!
Just been messing about with charcoal not the greatest work but the scene might make it into a painting sometime

Looks interesting Gillian and would be great to form into a painting! Charcoal defines well these scenes and holds mystery as it has a bold monochrome line!
I have been drawing some faces and need to practice so this challenge for the year will be stimulating! Might try some charcoal sketches too as have some pencils I discovered the other day. Nice to view your charcoal scene Gillian and those daffodils Sylvia too! Robert your trees are amazing and nice to view your image Denise too.
Lovely and expressive Angela.

Why thankyou Sylvia, I started Evie's portraits last week and when I noticed this forum challenge it grabbed my attention as haven't attended an Art club for ages...am seriously considering attending a Zoom Portrait class as we were rather busy last year with family. Lovely to view everyone's work and some great images too, wishing you and the group a Happy New Year! 🌌
A few from me today as I won’t be posting much next week as I’m having surgery on my hand early Monday morning. First is pencil the other two are fine liners that I was given for Christmas one is a pale grey, I’m using the minimum of lives particularly for the tree and snow drift one .
