It's nice when people do this with lost items along the way. Did a these very quickly, yesterday. A5 Daler Rowney scetchbook and a uni-pin fine liner 0.05 a bit too fine, maybe. I think the grey scale brushes would be a better choice to block in shapes and tones, and a lot quicker. Will have a try next time.
Excellent sketches by everyone it’s so good to see them I  find interesting that the good old pencil or pen is still a favourite with lots of people. Years a ago  I read a article that said the pencil was on its way out and new drawing materials were coming along to replace then including digital , well it would be interesting to be around in fifty yeas time in the mean time just keep them coming.
Great sketches Carol,  I like using pens too! . Rather than start a fresh thread I have changed topic from January to February. Happy sketching and chatting!
Pens it is today! This is my daughters ginger cat Arlo. It’s come out a bit odd but from a photo where he was being curious and getting close to the camera!
Help needed folks! Lyn Perkins has posted a lovely iris on the gallery today but says she can’t remember how to post on the forum. I can’t find the February Iris challenge at the moment, seems to have disappeared. Can anyone help Lyn? I’ve tried searching for it without luck. 🙏🤞
Tessa, just scroll down the list of topics until you get to Monthly Challenges  (under Join In) and click on that.  It’s just dropped out of Latest Posts.

Cheers Jenny! Sure I did that but couldn’t see for looking. 🧐
A miracle has happened!  I have actually done a couple of sketches en plein aire, while sitting on some very sharp rocks at Storms River Mouth in South Africa.
Like those very much Linda, I knew you were somewhere nice and warm.  Lucky you.  A delightful Curious Cat Tessa...
