Thanks Marjorie! More doodling…
Super doodle Tessa .
Cheers Sylvia!
I love those colours Tessa.
I didn't do much sketching yesterday but today I came across some old photos and decided to try and sketch some portraits (and they are sketches - sort of unfinished).  I like to sketch from random images - photos, screenshots, pause the TV.  I love this photo which was taken 29 October 1953, my parents' wedding day.  That's my dad on piano and his new father-in-law on sax.
I had a walk around our local arboretum earlier today and took my sketch pad. Lovely to see some snowdrops and daffs. Did a couple of quick pen sketches.
Two lots of really nice sketches.  Love the angle of the ciggy Janis, those are super Tessa I do like tge way you add that minimal neutral wash.  It works well.
Thanks Sylvia. I thought they looked a bit bland without any colour and it’s a reminder in case I should try a painting later, though I did take photos as well.
Another smashing group of sketches. Very nice, Tessa, and Janis, and a great backstory to your work.
Well it’s the last day of January’s sketch a day and I have managed to do a sketch!! Wonders never cease!
Excellent sketching everyone. Well done Gillian. I did a horse then decided to add some pastel. I don't think they are really my thing but it's good to try.
Good work ladies! Here are a couple I did this morning on my walk. The first is looking through to the industrial estate, new buildings, Bourton is ever expanding! The second is ‘the lost glove’ which someone had hung on a tree!
