Been looking at cubism following Lewis’s post, which I loved. Lots to learn but this is a sketch this morning with just a nod towards cubism. I need to do a challenge abstract portrait for a my group so this is an outline, or it, if I run out of time!

Excellent sketching from everyone. Though I would give the gel pens a outing last evening quite a while since I did any sketches with the pens. The two big cats caught in the p light were inspired by a online photo. The excellent wording with the candle are not mine , it something that was once said to me and I have never forgotten it odd because I’m not good at remembering poems etc.

Like the gel pen sketches Paul particularly the backlit cats! Very effective. I ventured across the street to sit and do a line and wash picture of an Orkney yole en plein air
