Some lovely work here the Welsh Daffs are gorgeous Linda and nice to see someone else using black paper for lovely snowdrops Gillian , they have been magnificent this year.  Watching and listening to the news is heartbreaking.  🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
I have started taking a like to painting things that are off centre or look a bit cock-eyed. That sort of art didn't really interest me before but I seem to be getting drawn towards it. I've just done this with a mind to maybe paint it in large in some sort of scene. I don't know why I like it, you will all probably think it's a load of rubbish but, I really like it, to my surprise.
It not odd that you like it , I think we are all attracted to different things thank goodness , be very boring if we all liked and did the same. It not something I would  go out of my way to paint , but do look at such paintings and admire the skills  used to achieve them . I like a lot of art not just because it looks really good, it’s the skill used and how they artist came to think about it in the first place that attracts me.   I like yours and think it would make a good full painting in bright acrylic.
A touch of the Modigliani. Follow your instincts, do we have an embryo Picasso ?
Different yes but you never cease to surprise us Denise!  I never really liked Picasso until I watched a programme about him and was very drawn to ‘Woman Crying’. It a painting that actually pulled at my heart. Now she is crying  for Ukrainians. Go for it Denise!
Such a lovely sunny day ,well here in n Wales.  I found these a couple of hours ago  the Daffs are quite tiny.  I always have flowers somewhere in the house so a little bunch. Reverted to quick sketch in my little black book added a bit of gel pen.
A ray of hope - Spring is coming!

I’ve put the wrong quote in! I meant to put Denise’s in and ask…is it from your imagination?
Yes Marjorie, it's from my imagination and I've got images of a few interiors already in my head but it's trying to translate them when you are painting, I kind of know what I want to do but don't know how it will transpire until I actually do it. Sylvia, I just looked at Modigliani and have to say, I love his work. Your flowers are also beautiful, lovely colours.
Not really a sketch but a drawing of one of my daughter’s, Siobhan. Took me two hours only my second portrait. Not perfect but I am pleased with it as it does look like her! Posted the photo I used.
A lovely sketch and a very pretty daughter you have Gillian.
