That is brilliant Denise! I love using pastel pencils on black paper because it jumps out of the paper! Just started on some blossom this afternoon and got a visitor so that was the end of that! Just did a quick sketch of an old diving helmet that sits in a diving shop just along the street from my house

These are supposed to be sheep. The one on the right has a look of a pig. Considering I live in sheep country I should do better . Beginning to hear lambs all around me, if this wind continues they will probably be nesting in the trees ….No "suppose" about it, they are great, particularly like the expression on the left one.Brilliant!![]()

Like the divers helmet Gillian it would make a great painting . Nice work Bari the Shambles is a beautiful place definitely a buildings enthusiast ideal street. The sheep look great Sylvia I think both have great expressions and are full of character. You have certainly move the gel pens up a notch or two.
I don’t often draw or sketch with pens but felt compelled too as my daughter bought me a nice set last year , yesterday I was reminded that she had not seen any sketch done with them . My other reason is I bought a great book about drawing and painting trees in the Oxfam bookshop last week , the author advocated using pens for certain trees. Ax the book was written in the late 1930s I think he was talking about a dip pen and ink . Both are from photos taken last year , the one with the leaf I might do a small painting of the leaf was a superb coppery colour and the only one on the tree at the time .

Nice one Denise I've been working on a dark sketch of the Shambles but on white paper.
