They look really good Sylvia.
Nice sketching everyone having a rest from my pens, so looking through my sketchbooks and found this cafe in Whitstable, I did it in 2019 .

No-one Bari, is it based on an actual location.
Yes we were on a coach trip to Sittingbourne and had a trip to Whitstable the cafe is also a newsagent hence the name 'Tea and Times'.
Like the Tea and Times sketch Bari,  I must be better at taking a sketch book out and about with me! I tend to take snaps with my camera but it’s not the same as a sketch on the hoof!
The sheep look good Sylvia and I like the leaves Paul.I was looking at the Jubilee Pool, the demonstration by Glyn Macay on the techniques section. I'm working in watercolours today but I wanted to try something in that type of style. The drawing isn't quite finished yet. not sure were I will go with it. I'm trying to go with an art deco type of style, I don't think watercolour is a good medium to use for this type of style, but I thought I would give it some practice and try with acrylics next time. Super tea room Bari.

W Well an hours fun. Acrylic on canvas board plus a sketch I did earlier. Probably paint over it tomorrow and be a bit more “refined”. This light house is Point of Ayr at Talacre Beach here in north Wales. Very near where I was brought up. I have seen it in many moods the sketch is from one of my photographs though in good weather a great place to sit and sketch. It’s also the beach the Dulux paint dog raced along.
Spent a lot of holidays in the 50s on that beach happy days  love the movement you can almost hear that wind.
Nice work Denise and Sylvia . A basic sketch set up for a painting of a old abandoned fishing boat on Hastings beach , just added a bit of colour to give it shape , I can’t resist these old rusty decaying boats etc.
Thanks Bari and Dixie.  Wha……another rusty old boat!.  You do like them! .  Look forward to the finished one .
Boat doesn't look  that derelict Dixie or is it due to the excellent sketch..I've been re working old sketches, this one is from a walking holiday in Newlands Valley.
I think that depends on what you perceive as derelict Bari, there are a lot of old fishing bost that are no longer fit  for sea, just left to decay on the beach . This one had several planks bidding from the hull and a warped keel, probably more apparent when it painted . There are some derelict boats that are just a few bit of the hull but they all belong to someone , some great photos online from around the world. This is one on my favourite, in South Georgia a old whaler I have been on board her but that was quite a long time ago?
