Great charcoal sketches Denise, lovely medium. Another maritime painting Paul, you are so good at them. Quill brush looks promising Hilary, I particularly like the blue sketch. Glad you have arrived back safely Gillian, looking forward to seeing a deluge of sketches!
Gillian, I’m also glad you’re back safe and well with Honey to look after you! Look forward to seeing some Orkney sketches soon? Everyone’s been very productive recently, some lovely variety as usual. I’ve missed a few days but was reading this morning the Artist article from September issue by David Parfitt about pen sketching and washes, so did this little sketch of my own, apologies to David but I like the way he draws his winter trees.
Finally got round to trying a proper sketch! It is a friend's cockapoo done from a photo. It took me about an hour.
He looks a cheeky lad Dianne! Nice free pen and wash Tessa. I have done a quick ink sketch plus wash using intense pencils direct on paper then wash of water. Never used them before so a lot to learn. Lines somewhat wavy as my tremor busy today! Small picture though ... postcard size. Across the loch, my quarantine view. Lucky me!
Oh wow, what a view Gillian, lovely sketch. Like the free flowing trees Tessa and I think you have done really well with the dog, Diane.
Another marvellous selection of sketches. That is some view, Gillian.
Hope all is well with you Gillian, love your view. Great cockapoo looks ready for a game. More messing around with some washes and large brushes today.  A fantasy scene from me
Great sketches, it’s another ship from me I’m afraid. Like a lot of people I’ve had to push myself to paint until I  did the card painting for the RAF BF, that seems to have motivated me a lot. I like to paint most thing but have are really passion for old ships, odd as I’m alway terrible sea sick, can’t stand a rowing boat on a pond even.
Hilary and Paul, very good images.
Cute cocker pop sketch Diane, they are lovely looking dogs. Gillian, if you have to quarantine, that’s the view to have-gorgeous! And Hilary a lovely view from imagination, often they’re the best I think, because you see what you want, rather than struggle to get what’s in front of you. And Dixie, that’s one very big ship, reminds me of my dad taking me to Cardiff docks as a kid to see the tugs bringing big ships in, great memories. Well it’s Halloween tomorrow so mines a pumpkin. Maybe for tomorrow I’ll try a carved version!
Some fabulous sketches from everybody, really like them all.
That's a nice one, Tessa, wish I'd painted the fresh figs I bought before I ate them, now.
