Who ever started this thread was  inspired.  Some lovely work .  🌹
I painted this a long time ago, but I won’t part with it. It holds a lot of memories of our trip to New York with our dear friends. It’s got loads of memorabilia collage in it....scraps of theatre tickets, ferry tickets etc.
This is mine - my favourite subject matter:
It is hard to choose isn’t it, and some amazing work on here so far! This is my painting of the Cornish coast near Trevone where our art group have spent a September week for some years. Palette knife which I haven’t used for a while, maybe should give it a go again! I also won’t part with this, but have had prints made, of which my daughter has one.
Yes, some fascinating work on display.  I like Ellen's idea of including tickets etc in her collage, that makes it wonderfully personal.
What a very interesting group of terrific paintings. This is mine to add to the list, you can tell where my interests are!
This has got to be my favourite, I have never posted this on the gallery as it's my version of Jack Vettriano's The Billy Boys. Painted in 2007, it's been hanging in my hall. There is some great work from everyone, and this has been a great topic.
There are some great paintings.....love that scrap yard scene, Anthony. The pint of beer with pork pie and tomatoes would probably sum up some of the nation’s thoughts too, Stephen.
I don’t know where to start, because as you all know, I paint anything and everything. One of my favourite paintings was the first one I did on my painting journey of Trawlers on the Barbican /Sutton harbour ( a familiar scene in my home town), but it is sold and I can’t work out how to move it from my gallery to here. Then there are the umpteen portraits that I produced, mostly in time restricted classes. But I really like animals, so my favourite is one where I have used my imagination too and added reflections of elephants in a zebra’s eye.  It is an early work, so the brushwork isn’t great and I’m sure I could do it better now.  So here it is.

It's been a great topic and lovely to see everyone's favorites.
That's great Linda, I too have a painting in the gallery somewhere very much like this of a Zebra's eye, I am posting my second favourite, don't really think my first one counts as it's my copy of someone else's work, so here it is, sunflowers in vase painted from life. Acrylic and watercolour.
I agree, it's hard to choose. Some of mine which I also like are ones which have an emotional connection, not necessarily brilliant per se - a guinea pig, a cat......jelly babies😆
