Such wonderful paintings, an inspiration.  My favourite because its the first piece i produced following many years of no art at all.
Marjorie is a dispenser of jelly babies 🌻
My favourite painting is.....🥁......Marjorie’s Jelly Babies! I would rather choose yours than any of mine! Lol
I love your pics Fiona...please post one .
Now come on Fiona!! You've got loads to choose from. We're waiting.....
I've got a favourite but it may take me some time to find it!
It isn’t pretty, in fact it’s fairly ugly, my favourite....and no it isn’t my Medusa self portrait Marjorie. 😉 It’s the only thing I’ve done that takes up wall space.....you won’t like it. I’d rather see your Jelly Babies, I’m starting to get a craving for them again.......
Coloured monotype of a Tinkler (Gypsy) woman. I did this using a similar method as Robert Colquhoun used in some of his monotypes. I’m a huge fan of his prints, and you would mistakenly think that there isn’t very much to them until you study them close up.....or have a go!

Well you're wrong. I actually think it's amazing. I like it a lot. I wouldn't have a clue how to do that. As for the jellybabies, might have a stroll out tomorrow....
Tease!  It wasn’t easy.....blanking out, paper stencils, lifting, rolling, scratching and thinners splattering. All that before the ink or oil paint dries. There is a unique and rare piece by Colquhoun which is the head of a woman in oil paint on a glass plate. It is believed that it was intended to be a monotype but there is so much work in the features and surrounding plate that it’s possible that the paint dried before it could be printed. It was done in 1954 and is so fragile and beautiful.
It has been really lovely looking through all the paintings you have chosen as your favourites and I appreciate seeing them all. My favourite is an abstract landscape I did about 6 months after I started painting last year. I have it on my wall now.
Lovely thread, great work everyone. As the Daffodil has been selected as a symbol of hope this is one my favourites, painted in 2015.
