Hi everyone it’s nearly the end of another year, how quickly time passes. Let’s try and end 2022 with some sketches. I have been busy but here’s the starting of a pen and wash
Hi Gill thanks for setting it up again, I certainly become lazy with my sketching of late so I sat down a sketched last night. Two just messing about and the old barn a possible painting. I’m
Good idea Gill...well sketched Paul.
£Sorry two for the price of one again... I have just started a new concertina sketch book and decided to make it a seasonal record .  This is the first page . Splat and squiggles .

Another page from my book...Teasels from the garden.
Very tidy Marjorie! Some lovely sketches already ! Glad to see you all rise to the challenge. I have been out all day but I have done quick sketch with pastel pencils before I get off to bed! Not a great photo!
Hi there - been a bit uninspired lately, but bizarrely started drawing this pigeon that sadly met its end by colliding with my kitchen window (enormous thump). It was found like this on the patio, and I photographed it. My wife thinks I'm weird, but the feathers are fantastic. This in charcoal, will attempt another one later.  Hope everyone is well.
However well or unwell we might be - we're in better shape than your pigeon...  I don't know - if kestrels, sparrowhawks, peregrine falcons (all of which we have locally), or cats (ditto, sadly), perishers with shotguns and air-rifles (also present) don't get them, our double-glazing will.  Who'd be a pigeon?
Art is painting and drawing what you see Anthony, I bet people thought Leonardo was odd sketching body parts etc.  A couple of sketches from me the owl is in pen not a medium I use very often but enjoy it when I do , the elephant is pencil mostly 8B
A couple of nice sketches there Paul , especially like the owl with that 'all knowing' eye, and I take comfort from you and Leonardo. You are right Robert- the ex-pigeon remained in situ but was gone overnight; a pile of feathers found behind a bush some days later. They are a pain in the rear as they crap all over my car, but I still feed them (and any bird who can get a look-in after the crows have done).
