Like the dogs , looking forward to seeing it when it’s finished. A quick sketch using graphite sticks, might work it up into a painting at some distant point , tend to keep old sketch’s for the day I can’t think what to paint.

Three  sketches in my rough work pad that I will probably do as a painting, the hay barge I will certainly build up and do as a full painting it a bit of a work on progress at the moment. The owl is gel pen sketched in 10 -15 minutes , when the light is better I will take a better photo and post it on the gallery.

Your owl is excellent, Dixie. I particularly like the horses and the farmer with his collies. Lovely work.

Thank you Carole and Gill, I’m thinking of doing a watercolour of the of the hay been delivered to the sheep by the farmer/shepherd. I would probably put a couple of sheep trailing hind and just the heads in shot opposite him .

That would work well, Dixie. When the dogs are at ease, and food is on offer your sheep will be well placed.

I like the farmer too. It’s a good composition Paul. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Well looks like I’ve talked myself into a painting of a shepherd. I was sorting out my art materials to put away as the room is needed over Christmas and came across theses two engravings I did on glass a long time back . Sorry the photo is not good due to the light reflections.  Have a good Christmas Eve and Day, I hope the man in red brings you lots of nice things.

Lovely engravings, Dixie. I'll be having a tidy up in the new year. I'll be putting up a few shelving units for my little art space. Its slightly cluttered, at the moment, it will be interesting to find things I haven't see or forgot about over the years. Hope Santa has brought you a few arty goodies :)

Happy Christmas everyone. Lovely sketches. Hopefully I'll get back into mode now I'm settling into my new home. Here is a watercolour I started yesterday but I had no chance of finishing it. Hopefully I'll get it finished tomorrow. Have a wonderful day.

Hope the move and the festivities haven't been overly stressful, Cat, Christmas alone can be a shed full. Lovely texture on your tangerine. Last year I painted some sprouts. Think I'll get the parsnips out later on.
