It’s looking really good Gillian . A couple of sketches from me a gel pen highland cow and a pastel lilly , I’m Galway’s very messy with pastel and get it all over my fingers hence don’t do much of it.

Nice sketches Paul, love playing with pastels  despite the mess but I haven’t completely mastered them in fact a long way to go yet! Here’s a bunch of mistletoe using a white gel pen. Plus finished orcas

Yes and it only started as a doodle! However not liking the orca the more I look at it totally not my style! It’s missing something and it feels somehow abstract!

Like your card, Gillian. Seems others do like your orca painting, you have great feedback in the gallery. I was asked if I'm a good artist my reply 'I don't know' I leave that to the people who view my work. But as always, we are our own worse critics :)

It's another place I'm missing on this forum... Lol... Most probably because ... I'm not sketching!? How come?! Laziness?  I hope It's not! I haven't had a pencil In hand since I switched to oils. I'm missing it, though! And to be honest, this morning I was sorting a bag full of pencils from my desk... Unconsciously I was tempting to start routine sketching again, therefore I have checked out what's leftover in the pencils bag ;) I may start posting some exercise sketches soon (I hope) ;) I did enjoy yours in here! I'm embarrassed I don't have any for you to share. ;)

Definitely get the pencils out Art certainly worth doing a small sketch each day if you can . A pencil sketch in the pad I use for tree sketches , potentially a painting or might just use the tee in another scene .

Great trees Paul, are they in your tree sketchbook? I started a bird one earlier this year. The aim was to go through the alphabet only got as far as f for firecrest!
