It’s something I’ve often thought about but never really come up with an answer, I would go with a sketch been done quickly and simply, a drawing having more detail. Today drawing  or sketch small a5
A quick sketch to start the day, we recently had the misfortune of both washing machine and rotary line breaking, so instead of just sending off to the scrappy, we made this for growing sweet peas up, could be used in the future for runner beans.
Alan I think you take the prize for the most unusual and innovative subject! You’ll have to paint the sweet peas when they grow! And Dixie, good tree trunk, can’t beat a nice tree.
Sat down in the garden this morning at 10am in warm sunshine and did this in 4B pencil  - started out as a sketch and stayed as a sketch. Only took 10 mins but will probably be one of the best 10 mins of the day.
Sounds and looks lovely Michael. We are in the garden now enjoying the sunshine. Here’s a sketch I did earlier listening to the morning service.
Lovely to see this still going.  I've still been sketching every day but have been posting on gallery to help turn it blue for the NHS and on Dawn's daily photo challenge.  Here are my April efforts - the buildings are from a Twitter challenge.

Very nice Margaret, can we have the. Pic please
Sorry Dixie, was having some technical problems with the Pic Collage app (my fault of course!) and it kept disappearing - finally got it posted - had hoped nobody would see it until l got it fixed!   Jealous of Tessa and Michael sitting in their gardens in warm sunshine - here in Edinburgh it is another overcast day at present - hopefully will brighten up later.

I was trying to paint a card and ended up making a flop and thought I would just cut it up and see how it turns out.  It did cheer me up some but my desk is covered in glue and bits of painted paper.

A lovely cheerful image, Sandi.
One from today - outside in  the back garden in the sun ( and wind)
Nice selection and flowers from your garden Margaret. We’ve been most of the day on and off in our garden here though it was also very windy at times. I had the company of a friendly blackbird which we are feeding and seems to be nesting in a conifer tree in the front garden. Sandi I think your collage has worked well and is a happy result.
