For a couple of days now I keep getting a pop up ad from Painters on line headed "Painters Online  Botanical Art Challenge" It has no cross box to tick to make the pop up disappear - it shows itself on the rhs.  So keeps coming back and covering up a lot of text and artworks. Anyone else having the problem and/or knows how to make it go away permanently please?

It’s been mentioned elsewhere.  There’s no escape from it.  The thing disappears after 30 seconds.  Once would be ok, but it pops up again when you move to another section of the site.  Annoying.  It’s what you might call ‘the hard sell’.

Annoying, but you can get rid of it as soon as it pops up by hitting the refresh screen option (I use an iPad).

What about on an iPhone? It’s really irritating…I have to open it in order to delete it!

It is frustrating, as said once is not to bad , wait the thirty seconds and I disappears but the continuous cycle every time you change a page or anything else is frustrating to say the least.

Glad I'm not alone - very frustrating. Yes, it disappears but resurfaces itself every time you click on something new.  It's really putting me off this site.

Let’s hope it’s a one off! And it goes away soon… I’ve done with it for the day now, back into the studio for more painting - I’ve put two hours in today already, another hour should get me to the stage I’m after! Another Thames scene with power station and Battersea Bridge…

It is off-putting.  Jenny's tip to hit the refresh button works on my PC and ipad.  Still annoying to have to do it.

It’s just one person that’s hacked in , maybe with his mates, causing a rift about AI too. Together, with a few other things, they, or he, are trying to push that the site is failing.  As for Ai, other threads, if you can properly communicate with the person posting it, meaning in person, or even on the phone, to validate that their account  hasn’t been hacked, there old work replicated through AI and presented as original, then there is nothing to be done.  it happens all the time on Facebook. There are a few on here arguing that are the same person.  A few things are going on behind the scenes at my end, at last. One might suspect the hackers and stalkers are trying to confuse last minute so the  trail  doesn’t lead directly to them.  Children are trying to fan a fire, and maybe you are all falling for it.  And I get the headphones thing , I say to the man on the run, but I don’t care. Your mother loved you perhaps?

There are some very good true artists on  here, John, Alan, Paul, Lee, Marjorie, rusell, some more of the girls, oh heather, and a carol. All I have corresponded with and know to be the genuine article. The few I have missed I am sorry, oversight. There is always a straight one like Ernie wise or Ronnie Corbett  who aren’t so slapstick that are also the same hacker.  Course, tge more we complain the more  hackers feed. Parasitic. Said it all before! I may seem like a bit of a loon, but there is method in my madness, a challenge to all who may persist in wanting a piece of me.            . I
