Catching up on everyone’s sketches as poor signal on the river, they all look great. Mine is a couple of interestingly shaped trees that caught my eye opposite our mooring, using Derwent water soluble black marker and a water brush.

Lovely sketches everyone! Today we have a new law in Andalucia to wear masks at all times. Out in mine today in 38 degrees ... hot!! So here’s a woman in mask

Thank you for your kind words Tessa and Dixie. Ron oh hope the rain cleared, that expression says it all. Hillary it is rather satisfying inaugurating a new sketch book, great first page. Dixie your love of boats come through, I will run a mile from that subject, Katy lovely shapes in your tree sketch, Gillian fabulous work, you now have it documented the first day of compulsory mask wearing. A little garden scene for mine.

Like the bird box Anjana. A sign of the times, Gillian. This topic makes for a nice virtual gallery of work Today, although I'm not out enjoying it, it's sunny again. My daughter brought me in a larger sketch pad so I can be more expressive. Wanted to get back to faces today and captured a view looking down at the laptop.

Nice to “see” you Ron. Lovely garden scene Anjana. Masks coming to us all now Gillian, its the look for 2020, what a strange year it is.  Mines a test page for my new acrylic ink brush pens, thanks for the recommendation Linda.

I totally agree Ron, It’s great to see more artists posting such varied sketches, well done everybody! Enjoy the chat too, feel I am making lots of friends as well! Quite fancy trying the acrylic ink pens myself Hilary been mulling it over a while but I will need to get them sent to Spain so may take some time to arrive! Like your sketch Anjana, lovely colours. We have thunder rumbling around at the moment and the sky is black. Always a worry here as the landed is tinder dry and the lightening tends to start wild fires.

I’ve missed a good few days so not going to attempt to comment on all but there have been a lot of good posts and great variety as has been said. Lovely to see new people joining in. This is a quick sketch of a friend who visited today.

They are coming thick and fast with some very good work. I like the diversity of subjects and the wealth of talent. Well, we’re on day 7 of our quarantine fortnight so I may have to become more observant and aware to find a topic for today. Trying to keep a journal too.

Thought I would try a still life. Quarantine hot (well, lukewarm) breakfast. The menu is quite limited - eat it or leave it.
