Thanks Katy! I agree the boat has eyes, and it’s still better than I could do. Maybe a case of ‘eye eye skipper’!
Today's sketch is inspired by where I would prefer to be (getting sentimental or bored). It's taken from a photo of Two People's Bay on the south coast of WA. BTW, the beach is white sand.
Cheating a bit as this is also WIP
Some really nice painting and sketches over the last day or so.  It’s not cheating Hilary, I’ve done it so have others it’s nice to see the initial layout. Nothing from me yet but plan to do some later.
Thought I would post this , done under supervision of my granddaughters, the youngest 4 going on 40 told her mum that they need to tell me how to do it properly. It was great fun and quite frankly the outcome didn’t matter, there is less pink than I thought there would be. Do give it a try with grandchildren or family children, failing that borrow some off the neighbours.

Well, Paul, it looks like their advice and supervision paid off. Oldy but goody.
Hello, just caught up with all the fantastic sketches. Tessa fabulous news congratulations to you and family. Dixie great to hear your granddaughters are keeping you on the straight and narrow, how lovely to have their confidence nurtured this way. Dipping in with today’s very quick scribbles of thistle and cow parsley done at my local nature reserve.
Tessa, just seen your lovely news. Many congratulations! The worrying is over! Grandchildren are great!
Thank you Anjana (lovely delicate sketches)  and Marjorie, and a new photo of you! Yes it’s been a difficult time but hopefully onwards and upwards now! (And maybe I’ll get my head back to art again soon, no inclination at all presently!) but am looking in.

Guess the weather this morning...
Just started a new sketch book (special offer bargain at the weekend) A quick sketch of the Old mill at Mapledurham, hope to continue with this at some time in the future
Very nice sketch Anjana, bit damp then Ron,  a new sketch book is quite a nice thing to have  nice sketch Hillary. As I’m try to not to overwork my hands , I’m using the basic sketch I set up last evening for another boat painting. I seem to have this itch at the Moment to paint boats, mind you it no chore as I love painting them. There is a bit missing in the photo at the bow end.
