Well I did a bit work on the sunflower yesterday and feel it has improved the finished product. Hopefully not too perfect Paul!! Tessa, you can but dream about getting a voucher for art stuff!  Like your old car theme Paul, do you ever more modern cars or do you not find them as interesting.? Have to say I think vintage cars are more pleasing to the eye and have character unlike the present day offerings!
Beautiful Gillian, I like both versions such “happy” flowers. Nothing from me today Ive really got to catch up with the dreaded housework!!
Thanks Hilary! I have just spent a couple of hours ironing! Not a great job at best of times but when it’s 40 degrees outside it takes it to a whole new level! 🥵
Like the humour, Tessa, I have commented on the gallery.  The iris is looking good, and I have commented too on the gallery for the finished one, Hilary. Both sunflowers 🌻 looking good Gillian, in their different way. Like the old cars Paul, where do you find them all or are they from your imagination? Well mine is a sketch or work in progress for the August challenge, but I just read the brief again and it says squares😮!  as the daughter of a school master I should know to read the question fully before answering🤣
Some lovely sketches and paintings,  my my Katy you might get a detention of even lines but joined to make squares. I find some of the vehicle’s on line or from friends photos Katy , I then decide a setting and add several to get her if I want to do a scene. Sometimes a take a vehicle and imagine what it would look like rusting or wrecked, I do the same with old boats as well. I don’t normally paint or sketch modern vehicles etc Gillian , the older models have more to offer in shape and design .  I also love the old cars, trucks, tractors and boats etc, probably because l have seen them, driven some it leaves impressions . When I see photos of old vehicles I can almost smell the old leather, oil and petrol etc , same with steam engines probably because I’m a sad old sod.
Quite the poet, Paul, when you talk about old cars!
The cat sat on the mat. My cat “guarding”the cat flap against intruders haha 😂 She often sits here to stop her brother and sister from coming in
You’ve definitely got that pose Hilary, good one!
Thanks Tessa, its not until you try to draw cats that you notice how twisty turny they are, very flexible
Thought I have a change today, attempted painting a single flower, seed head from a Chinese lantern plant. Good for the concentration and exercising the fingers, not over impress with it a5 size watercolour.
Digit problems double post sorry.
