Some brill sketches…great.   I do like those quick ones Paul.   I often find that spontaneous and quick work well….Tessa a lovely life sketch and Alan yours are always happy.   Did this one night ages ago in a pub in Dunning in Perthshire.  Lots of lovely models playing instruments.   I loved drawing from life.

Thanks Sylvia, and Dixie, yes I did, well spotted! A pencil sketch from the Jackson’s Art in the Studio email “the Dark History of the Pencil’ Done while my hubby trying to fix a leaky loo has just flooded the bathroom and told me to keep out of the way- which I am very happy to do!! 😩

Super pen and wash Tessa and I love those greens on your Shepherds hut sketch Paul. Excellent sketching everyone.
I like all the work shown in the last few days. I've been trying to do at least one a day, not many worth sharing on here or the gallery, but it's good practise.  Here's one I did earlier - charcoal A5 in my sketchbook. Stowe Gardens with view of the Gothic Temple in distance.
All sketches are worth sharing even the one we think haven’t worked out , there a lot of learning for everyone in simple sketches.

A couple of ten minutes sketches and a scribble sketch of fishermen and their boat about twelve minutes. The last one is for a painting of a ship driven ashore after a storm .
In a bit of a dilemma about sketch sharing - because if I shared all of mine, or even a significant chunk of them, I could fill this section all on my own - I sketch far more than I paint nowadays; very few of them are what I'd call Gallery-ready, but might be of some interest...  I'll bung on a few and see what you think: don't  hesitate to tell me if you feel I really shouldn't have bothered! I can take a hint.
Just get on with it Mr Jones , I’m looking forward to seeing them .
I read the same article Tessa and your sketch is very good. Looking forward to seeing your sketches Robert. Paul, the ship is going to make an excellent painting. I did a quick pastel sketch.

I agree with that, Dixie. My camera has gone 'caput' so I wont be posting for a bit. In the mean time, super work everyone.
Forgive me if I have posted this recently.  Tis the getting old. A couple of weeks ago I saw a friend painting on canvas with acrylic ink….so I have had a go … Please tell me if I am repeating myself and I will delete it.

Love the colours and don’t remove it Sylvia. Three watercolour sketches done in a thirty minute time challenge.
