Well done - I went out yesterday to see if I could capture a California Tree Poppy - I got a drawing out of it on which I can work, added some coloured pencil and a bit of gouache - then slumped in a lump of overcooked flesh.... just too hot; I won't bother showing it, it's not good enough and is intended as the basis for a painting (if I ever get round to it). I couldn't have produced three images as you have - the flesh was far too weak in these temperatures.. You have to work on these while they're still here, though - the wind blows them away all too soon.

I think I lack energy more than inspiration - I've usually (not always, admittedly) got plenty of ideas; what I don't necessarily have is the energy to do anything with them.... I suppose that's age, and some physical issues which drain one a bit: I had a bad time of it some days ago, and the recent heat wiped me out - but I'm now torn between several projects, and must decide on one of them or I'll never get started...
What's the lesson there, then........ if there is one.... I think, principally, just don't worry about it. There's no law that says we have to be working every hour of the day in every day of the week - we're as entitled as the average office worker to say no, sorry, can't work like this, install air-con or I'm going home for a nice lie-down. Never feel guilty for being wiped-out and lacking inspiration - it's the heat or other conditions that's doing that to you, not any inherent failing of your own.
You'll get the oomph back when the arthritis isn't banging away (and sometimes, even when it is), when the heat isn't causing you to wilt and seems to be melting your paint and causing your brushes to flop in sympathy; I'll bet even Rembrandt had days like that - he'd be superhuman if he hadn't. Keep going, but don't beat yourself up about it - Paul, among others, will know what I mean - we both have our problems, and we work through them; but not to the point of being b. idiots about it! If your hand won't open properly, if your hips feel as if you have a ferret tucked away gnawing at them, if you knees are cracking and popping like demented castanets - take it easy for a few days; go for a gentle walk; lie back with a mint julep and get someone to fan you - have a satisfying grumble; but don't force yourself to work when you're feeling as if you've spent the night with a high spirited donkey kicking the whatsit out you, and above all: don't blame yourself for lack of inspiration. You are not alone.

Tessa, you did ask for it ...
