Jose Royo, was brought to my attention when one of the members had mentioned him after doing a painting in his style. I am having a bit of trouble with my Internet today, so will post his painting when it comes back on. I'm just using my phone, so you are not all waiting a long time for me to respond as the paintings are on my main computer. Anyway, that explained, I love the way he brings the garden  to his portraits. It's reflected in the skin tones and the beautifully painted drapery of the dresses,  hats and shawls. His portraits glow with radiance and give you that, feel good feeling.
I downloaded these to my phone, El Paseo and El Manton Dorado.

Lovely stuff Denise. I love Spanish art and still have a framed Murrillo print "After the bullfight" somewhere.
Two beautiful portrait paintings Denise I can see why you like his work . Must have a closer look at some myself.
I'm with you Jim, I keep coming across Spanish artist's and I just love their work, Murrillo included.
Hadn’t heard of him before, Denise, but I love his colourful work - hard to choose just one or two, these are a few of the ones I really like.

Jim would you like me to add Murillo to the list of artists.
Excellent paintings, and without doubt a superb artist. Whilst I admire his skill and the quality of his work , they are not to my taste , for me there is to much going on . I have looked and pick out some sketches and a few vignettes that I think are superb and display his skills beautifully.
Some lovely choices. Lots to look at .  Voluptuousness in all its glory.  Will enjoy exploring these when Sam isn’t pushing me out of bed.  Brill , thanks .
