This weeks choices come from Sylvia and Paul Sylvia’s choice is known I think to a lot of POL members, Adebanji Alade. Paul’s choice ( I will use Dixie in future to save confusion) Frank Scarborough. I hope you enjoy our third week and most importantly enjoy the choices .

Sorry folks I inadvertently added the wrong name in the title and can’t change it  for some reason nor delete and start again . Help Dawn please  if you can.
Thank you Paul….hope I don’t do what you have just done…..lol. Sorry. Adebanji Alade I first noticed here on Pol on the gallery.   He posted his sketches mainly portraits ,they are still here if you look.   It I was the confidence and immediacy that I saw and looked forward to his postings.  He is known as the Addictive  Sketcher .   His on site  work in London and other venues capture a sense of place .  They are full of colour and life . Enjoy .

You’ve spelt it correctly Sylvia, it’s the heading that’s incorrect!
Sorry I did notice but can’t change or delete, I have asked Dawn if she can correct . I have problems as when I post fir some reason the spell check I was give to correct my spelling due to dyslexia changes letters around . I do  believe I have the dyslexic one out of the batch , be about right .
Adebanji Alade  has a great sketchbook video in the techniques section, under drawing. I watched it a while back and it gave me some excellent ideas. His Blaze and Shade portrait is superb and his street scenes, I really like his use of light in them.
My apologies to Adebanji for the incorrect spelling of his name. His portraits are amazing and a delight to look at but for me  me the  street scenes are so beautiful painting, particularly the one with wet pavements . The figure are superbly done as are the buildings etc. i have included one of a beach scene that I like a lot.
I've edited the topic heading to correct Adebanji's name.   He's a remarkable plein-air painter, whom some of us who remember his early work recognize as one of our own, because he used to show his paintings and drawings on the Gallery.  He's good INSIDE the studio, as well - I emphasize plein-air because he's got a fearless character, sketching people on buses and trains, which I'd never dare do, pitching his easel on pavements in busy streets.
Robert can you possibly take  Walter J Watson off and replace  it with Frank Scarborough, I wax going down the list and put his name on by mistake. Thank kind sir , grovel grovel etc.
Consider it done.   It hasn't been, as yet, but bide your time.   Minutes later - done.  No need to thank me, money will do.
