Welcome to this weeks thread , it won’t be long before we reach week 200 of the treat , I thought it might be useful to look back on some of the artist we have previously featured. Please choose any artist for the list and remind us of there work .  My first choice is an artist that Jenny originally introduced two yeas ago  Martin Proctor .

John Egerton Christmas Piper , originally featured two years ago and was introduced by Alan Bickley.
Rowland Hilder’s exceptional work is always worth another look - I believe that along with Piper, I also introduced Hilder a while back. You won’t see this particular watercolour in any of his books… it is one of two original Hilder watercolours that I purchased fairly recently at auction. View overlooking Shoreham Valley.
Roger Dean - introduced by Andrew Rowles in week 32 - is one of my all-time favourite artists.

All good reminders of some of the brilliant artists featured in this series...for me, especially the Roger Dean and Rowland Hilder works. I sometimes, when I have the sense, post a thread I particularly like to my wall on POL.  Wish I'd done it more often, it makes them much easier to find.  One I liked, posted by Jenny I think, was Lillie Seika Jones a book illustrator...mostly for children, so the subject matter wasn't always to my taste.  But the art WAS.  Largely line and watercolour.
So good to revisit artist as we tend to forget how great and inspirational their work is. Ann Blockley , I introduced her three years ago and still find her work inspiring , she takes watercolours to totally different levels .
Yes, Anne Blockley is a firm favourite, as is Shirley Trevena….. and Aubrey Beardsley …..

I believe that I may have introduced David Hockney a while back - how he regularly works on this vast scale is incredible…multiple canvases went into making this piece for his exhibition A Bigger Picture, at the RA. I was fortunate enough to experience it first hand!
Great to see these paintings again.  Some time back I did a thread not based on one artist, but on the theme of vivid colour in watercolour.  In fact some were so vivid I had to double-check that they WERE watercolour.  The car below is a prime example of this... And lastly the  surreal fantasy art of Daniel Merriam...
Andrew Barrowman who was introduced by Robert a year ago after some confusion due to my incorrect spelling of his name .
I’m finding it hard to recall the names of some of the artists I have introduced since the thread started, but can very clearly remember their paintings! These were a few of them. Nick Wroblewski (woodcuts) Iosef Derecichei  Edwin John Prittie (illustrated children’s books)

That’s right Jenny, I haven’t saved enough to my wall, it’s a long job going through the thread folders in the forum section.  I didn’t even start.  For the threads that I’ve done, I still have the images in the thread folders on my computer.  I know there many really good artists where I wish I’d saved the name at least.  Maybe a few will pop up this week.
