An artist featured as a bonus artist a year ago , I’m ashamed to say I had completely forgotten his work since , revisiting has reminded me how good his work is . The second one down I think is outstanding, he apparently adapted it from a black and white photograph.

I agree- that backyard painting is incredible. I remembered Charlie Mackesy whose book and film The Boy, the mole, the fox and the horse is a delight. I didn’t realise the extent of his other painting work.

Fred Cuming’s work really inspires me, his two videos are well worth watching, and his book, which is quite expensive, has some fabulous illustrations of his work. I bought my copy many years ago directly from Fred, which is a signed copy which I treasure! Sadly, we lost Fred in 2022, along with Ken Howard in the same year! Both irreplaceable!

Well don’t go paint one Robert , your still needs to answer those awkward questions about oil, acrylic paints etc .  You introduced Fred Cuming in the early days of the thread around three years ago Alan , I remember the enthusiasm for his work that came across from your introduction.  I had forgotten Ken Howard .
