I agree, Robert, about Vettriono's work. He does have a more clean cut to his painting images.
John McCombs had articles, if my memory serves me right, in the Artist many years ago, I loved reading his words and viewing his paintings, I read them over and over. I do like his work. I hope he'll be asked to do another feature.
An artist I came across the other day is Nina Hamnet, a Welsh artist. When I first saw her work I thought of Gwen John. Personally, I don't think Hamnet was as good as Gwen. Further research is necessary before a more concrete decision can be made about her work, on my part.
Dixie, I'll be up for introducing the artist Nina Hamnet, in the future.

Great Carol I will add her to the list it will be several weeks before she features so plenty time to research etc, it’s so good have you good folk introducing arts of your choice. As we are all different in our choice it’s much more interesting, must ad that the majority of artists that i have featured don’t get onto my personal list for one reason or another.

Well, we all like special treats.
Anyway, Paul, treats are good; and I know you forget things, so do I, and I expect we both have similar reasons, e.g. the cruel advance of time, and, in your case, recent troubles and travails which I hope are now behind you. As for the artist in the selection - yes, Seago! Some of them anyway, and much more like him than Vettriano. Though I do see the thematic similarities.
