Welcome to this weeks thread , the featuring artists this week are, Lucille Clerc introduced by Jenny and Raymond Leech introduced by myself. Jenny will open with her introduction to Lucille Clerc this evening and I will introduce Raymond Leech on Wednesday. Have a good week and enjoy your art .
LUCILLE CLERC is a French illustrator based in London.  She holds a DSAA in Visual Communications (Paris) and a Masters in Communication Design (Central St. Martins, London).  She works mainly in the field of editorial design and illustration for books and magazines, and on a larger scale for the creation of textile patterns and murals.  She specialises in producing hand drawings developed into screen printing which allows her to make large scale compositions.  Her favourite themes are the streets and architecture of London and the natural world, and she develops these subjects in narrative compositions filled with decorative and architectural details observed on site. Her images require time and precision - everything is drawn by hand often on a large scale, sometimes in one piece, sometimes in fragments put together.  The techniques used to print them (screen printing, engraving, cyanotype) allow her a lot of freedom to experiment. Her limited edition work is screen printed by hand in London by the artist herself in a shared printmaking studio located below her drawing studio. Fascinating work the details are amazing no wonder it take time to draw and print . Thanks for the excellent introduction Jenny I will get some time to look at her work in more detail tomorrow.
Astonishing work.  I envy her ability to play and improvise using printing techniques, and, of course, her wonderful drawing skills.  I like art where the longer you look the more you see. Here's another Mowgli illustration... Something not quite so complex... A work entitled KUBRICK... A wonderful, skillful, imaginative and inspiring artist.  A great 'find' Jenny, thanks for that.  This thread throws up so many artists that each of us, with our personal preferences, can enjoy.
We do our best Lew and hope that everyone finds something to their taste , or develops an interest in something different.
Just bringing this one back up again…….
Superb work with great detail and imagination: so much to look at. Baloo is just great!
A few from me , like them all .
Some more I like.
Just browsed her website and chose a few more but it would be difficult to find any I don’t like! Her work is incredible and she is very productive.
A good selection Tessa . Can I put a plea in for more names for the upcoming months or you are going to be subjected to my choices and I’m sure you will get bored of that very quickly.
