And this one….
I will add him to the list Alan , that’s a nice painting you chose .
It appears that Alan M hasn’t started us off so I will jump the gun with a little intro and a few painting . Michael Morgan 1928- 2014 a West Country artist , predominately landscape, I was not aware of his work till recently but have developed a great admiration for his landscapes . A selected few that I really liked.

An interesting style of composition and technique - Perhaps a hint of John Blockley in a few of them. I rather like these two…

I just love this artist’s work.  Apparently John Blockley was a major influence and, as Alan has commented, you can see the similarity in style.

I do agree that there is more than a touch of John Blockley in his work , my initial impression was that I had opened a Blockley painting . I will add John Blockley to the list , it was one of his paintings test led me to taking up painting , mistakenly thinking they were easy to do, what a silly mistake, found out the hard way .
Like your idea of Elizabeth Blackadder Alan.   I saw a painting of hers in the summer exhibition in the RA  .irises on brown paper...just in a straight line with paint running dow.  Loved it . If anyone can suss it out.   Another flower lady is Georgia O Keeffe .  Slightly suggestive flower paintings...well some of them
I’ll be discussing her landscapes rather than her botanical studies, she’s produced some excellent work in that field (no pun intended), which I find really interesting!

Paul, we've already covered John Blockley, he was one of the first artists we looked at .  You could, though, add Moira Huntly to your list - she was a painting partner of John Blockley and has produced some interesting work.
This thread could go on forever........yay.
Just looked at EB s landscapes Alan I had no idea ,they are  lovely.but I still think of her as flowers and cats.
