Thank you Lucian I will add both to the list and let you know when they are due to feature that will be in about six weeks or so.
A reminder that next week’s artists are Terence Clark and John Piper  I will open the thread on Sunday evening as usual.
Great, but who is doing the intro on Piper? It could possibly be myself but I need confirmation Paul… Also, in what order?

Sorry Alan  had had two names beside John Piper,  yourself and Robert  when his name was suggested you both were discussing him . If you start off and then Robert can add too , I’m suggesting this a in the next week or so Robert had a lot of artist featuring and I know he likes plenty of time to prepare.  John Piper would be first up on Sunday
Great thanks Paul, I’ll get something written up over the weekend. Definitely one of my favourite artists… one of so many favourites of course!
Good - all for Alan having the premier stab at Mr Piper: I'm sure Alan knows of Piper's illustrations for Osbert Sitwell's autobiography, of Renishaw Hall - in my opinion, by far the better part of the books, since Sitwell wrote a sort of Edwardian prose.  Of course, Piper did far more than that, but it's an interesting set of drawings which enliven a somewhat leaden text.
Yes Robert, I am indeed aware of the autobiography and also the wealth of Piper illustrations/paintings which are in Renishaw Hall itself. It’s a fabulous building that Piper often painted, and which I have attempted to paint myself ‘in the style of Piper’ several times with let’s say only ‘a modicum of success’ …
Paul - please could you add Edward Bawden to the list of artists for the far distant future - he was a friend and contemporary of Eric Ravilious who has already been covered in the forum.  Many Thanks.
There's a great photograph of the Sitwells in Renishaw Hall, complete with heavy overcoats - back in the day, it was heated (or not) by antiquated boilers powered by coal, and coal fires smoking out the rooms.  How the other half lived was not always to be envied.
Will do Anthony.
Paul, could you also please add Sybil Andrews, a printmaker who specialised in linocuts.   I think her work would be of interest.  Thanks.
Add to the list .
