Lucian this artist and these pictures were discussed a while ago. If you scroll through the thread you will see what I mean. Paul set this thread up for forum readers enjoyment he works hard at it. Please don't re introduce a post. It's still there for you to enjoy. Your choice looks interesting , but it's easier to just give a name . When it is your turn to introduce your choice ,then you can post your opinions and your choice of paintings . It is a popular thread and there is a list of other posters...so in about five weeks time Paul will ask for your contribution. In the meantime enjoy other peoples choice. Thanks Paul for all of your efforts.I am beyond confused. What does reintroducing a thread mean? I have been a member of numerous forums throughout the years and I have never heard this phrase before. I expressed my opinions in an open thread. I saw no mention anywhere that it is not allowed to post in threads that have been discussed in the past. I've been searching the forums for three days and I could not find one single rules thread. Forums usually have a thread where the rules are mentioned. You know, what you are and aren't allowed to do. If replying to older threads is against the rules, then this community is pretty much dying because nobody seems to be posting new threads, and the new threads I posted hardly get any replies. What is the logic behind not being allowed to reply to older threads? I don't understand. How does my expressing my opinions on something that was posted prior to my arrival ruin the thread?

Lucian I just need the name when the artist are featured you the add the painting and comments. We don’t add paintings once the thread has closed . The reason we have each week numbered is to enable people to track back and look at the work . As you have recently joined us and I can understand you wanting to comment on past threads .The POL editor asked when I set up the thread that it not be on continuous thread as it blocks the system and doesn’t enable other threads to have a chance of being seen. How does it block the system? This thread is not closed. None of the threads in this section are closed. A closed thread does not allow users to reply to it. Closed threads don't have a reply box. Closed threads have a little "locked" icon next to them.

Express away Lucien....but IF you took care to look the paintings you have posted we're discussed a awhile ago. That was my point.
Sadly you were not a member a month ago possibly someone will be happy you resurrected it....personally I prefer to move on. .This evening there will be a new artist to discuss I sure you will enjoy it..
incidentally this forum is NOT dying.

This isn't about rules - this is a new feature on the site, run by Paul, which offers a chance to show paintings by specific artists whose work might not be well known. If you go back to the very beginning of this series of threads, you'll find the intentions behind it and be able to work out how it works. You would also see that we have covered Robert Lenkiewicz so Lucian - take a bit more time to investigate the site and its various threads: there are a great many of them, obviously they can't all be displayed at once, but you'll get a much better feel for the site if you do that and won't need to get so irritated by some of its issues.
I would agree by the way that it would probably be a good idea to have a pinned post on the forum about rules and acceptable behaviour - I don't think there's anything I can do about that, but once I've recovered from my mild heat-stroke, I will try to check on this.

Can I just say, disruption, disturbance and good running of a site comes in many disguises. It is a well run site. There are rules and regulations and people not following them, stick out like a sore thumb. Can I add, anyone thought to be causing disruption or possible trolling should be reported.
