I like both, obviously the graphic designer has stayed with the more muted colours but they both have impact. I like a challenge so I might try one of my own in this Kandinsky style at the weekend.
I've already thought of my theme, a high wire acrobat walking between Big Ben and the Moon, dodging the space debris. I'm going to try and translate it into a Kandinsky inspired drawing.  I'm eager to start it now but I've got relative over today and tomorrow. Darn.
Looking forward to seeing what you do Denise , relatives can be a inconvenience at time , not fair  stopping your creative flow.
Don't I know it Paul. Always glad to see them though, roll on Saturday so I can get started.
Faces by Michael King (Black Swan) - shades of Matisse, Picasso ?
So simple but so effective . It’s the simplicity that appeal's to me however you need to know what your doing to achieve it.

This week seems to have past really quick, several really good artists this thanks to Linda and Michael. Hope your feeling better Linda. Next week it Alan’s turn to introduce use to Turner  one of his favourite artists I believe. I think we are in for a treat and a few surprises if I know Alan . Have a good weekend  , I will be posting the bonus artist a bit later this evening.
Yes I’m going to highlight work from his watercolour sketch books to start with, I’ll be using some lesser known examples which I’ll take from my extensive Turner library, some are very simple with a few strokes of colour… but that’s because he made it look simple - followed in the second half of the week I’ll be taking a look at his fabulous oil sketches. I’m steering clear of his more famous oil paintings such as the Fighting Temeraire and so on, they’ve been commercially flogged to death in print and we’re all familiar with them anyway! If you can set me up a new header for Sunday evening Paul, great stuff, hope you all enjoy my selections!
I certainly will set  up the header Alan,  it will be early Sunday evening. I’m looking forward to seeing some different things by  Turner as you have said some oh his work has been flogged to death.
I will add a couple of Lenkeiwicz portraits and let Linda do the intro later. Chosen because the appeal to me , particularly his  last supper painting .

This might very well be one of the most interesting painters I've discovered in this section of the forums. Whose portrait is that? And I've never seen this version of the Last Supper. I'll have to dive deeper into his body of work. I'm quite impressed with what I've seen so far.
Lucian this artist and these pictures were discussed a while ago.  If you scroll through the thread you will see what I mean.  Paul set this thread up for forum readers enjoyment he works hard at it.  Please don't re introduce a post.  It's still there for you to enjoy.   Your choice looks interesting , but it's easier to just give a name .  When it is your turn to introduce your choice ,then you can post your opinions and your choice of paintings . It is a popular thread and there is a list of other posters...so in about five weeks time Paul will ask for your contribution.  In the meantime enjoy other peoples choice.  Thanks Paul for all of your efforts.
Lucian I just need the name when the artist are featured you the add the painting and comments.  We don’t add paintings once the thread has closed . The reason we have each week numbered is to enable people to track back and look at the work . As you have recently joined us and I can understand  you wanting to comment on past threads .The POL editor asked when I set up the thread that it not be on continuous thread as it blocks the system and doesn’t enable other threads to have a chance of being seen.
